I can still remember the thrill of seeing an image emerge in the porcelain tray as the developing fluid sloshed over the blank white photographic paper. I was 14 years old. That epiphany in my makeshift darkroom in a damp root cellar at my childhood home sparked an interest that has continued to this day. We have progressed from four-by-five-inch press camera sheet film developed in hollowed-out auto battery cases to digital images manipulated through the magic of Photoshop. Yet the challenge and creative satisfaction photography provides make it a worthwhile part of an active retirement. I have attached a sampling of images from my efforts at photography through the years. These will be augmented from time to time.
