Writing and editing has been a big part of my life for nearly 50 years. It is nearly 35 years since I worked professionally as a journalist, but I never lost my enthusiasm for the skills I learned early in life. In recent years, I have satisfied my yearning for the field by contributing as a volunteer to various enterprises and causes. Editing a book, Raped in the House of God, for a victim of clergy sexual abuse was a recent project. It inspired me to write a memoir of my childhood and early adult years. Designing both covers was a challenge for my Photoshop skills, but the results were personally satisfying.
